Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak met delegations from Mardan

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak said his government would stage a comeback to power as against the past traditions of the province. He understood the people never voted to the party again and threw it from the corridor of power for not delivering.
He was talking to two different delegations from Mardan led by Zahid Durrani and Yousaf Tarand of Battagram here at Chief Minister House Peshawar. Provincial Minister Muhammad Atif Khan and others were also present.
The Chief Minister said his government delivered in all spares of governance. It eliminated corruption and laid down the foundation for good governance. It was the openness and transparency of his government that would become the foundation for a new Pakistan adding that PTI in the next phase would win the heads and hearts of the whole of people, he added.
The Chief Minister said that what his government did in the last three years including the elimination of corruption and irregularities, made a visible difference between the performance of his government and those who ruled this province. He said his government stood by the people, it gave relief to the people and the people heaved a sigh of relief under the rule of PTI. If PTI could prove its potential to change and rectify the direction of province, it could also purge the country from nepotism and bad governance, he added.
Pervez Khattak talked about the past misrule, irregularities, corruption and nepotism adding that his government heralded a new era of people empowerment. He asked the members of the delegations to tell the people of their areas about the aims of Ehtesab rally to be taken out on September 30 adding that Imran Khan and PTI wanted to put pressure on institutions to be responsive to their responsibilities for undertaking accountability across the board. The people he added, had the undeniable right to ask questions about the use and abuse of power and authority of the ruling elite. The people should keep asking about the use and drain of resources. He was taken aback by the misuse of billions of rupees in the name of public welfare but there was no sign of any development, he added. He said now the ground reality was different, the system had changed and it was now open and transparent that would lead to a new Pakistan.
Pervez Khattak said that Pakistan needed to be led by honest in order to steer it out from quagmire of hardships. His government had a vision that was the main reason the people were joining PTI at mass scale, he added. He said that his government was providing resources to all the district of the province under its uniform developmental strategy. The public should monitor the resources being provided for the developmental schemes in their areas. Pervez Khattak said he was planning to visit all districts to review institutional reforms and developmental schemes undertaken by his government. He recalled that his government has given Rs. One billion to Mardan for different public welfare schemes.
